The Rridgeview Alumni Association Steering Committee
The Ridgeview Alumni Association Steering Committee is a group of people in active recovery who have completed treatment at Ridgeview and have volunteered to serve the recovering community at large by planning and participating in various Alumni functions.
Our Purpose is to promote recovery through fellowship, service and unity. The ONLY requirement for membership is a desire to serve and active participation in a 12-step program.
What we do:
The Ridgeview Alumni Association Steering Committee sponsors a speaker meeting on the 1st Friday of every month. The Alumni also chair approximately 45 12-Step meetings per month on the inpatient units and on the Ridgeview campus. The Alumni organize and facilitate various social activities and fund-raising events. These include a Spring Fling, golf outings, Recovery Walk, White Water rafting, Tubing, and a Fall Festival. All proceeds raised during these events go to the Ridgeview Alumni Charitable Corporation (501c3). We publish a newsletter (The View) twice a year using articles and poems from the personal experience, strength and hope of the Alumni and Ridgeview Staff. And most of all we have FUN!
Where and When we meet:
The Alumni Association Steering Committee meets every Thursday at 5:30pm. These meetings are currently the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month on ZOOM, and in-person at the Day Hospital the other Thursdays. Our main purpose is to promote and sustain recovery through fellowship, service and unity.
