The Ridgeview Alumni Association Steering Committee
The Ridgeview Alumni Association is a group of people in active recovery who have completed treatment at Ridgeview and have volunteered to serve the patients at Ridgeview, the Ridgeview Alumni, and the recovering community at large by planning and participating in various Alumni functions. Our purpose is to promote recovery through fellowship, service and unity. The requirements for joining are completing treatment at Ridgeview institute, actively working a recovery program, and a desire to serve.
What we do
The Ridgeview Alumni Association plans and executes a speaker meeting on the 1st Friday of every month, chair approximately 45 12-Step meetings per month on the Ridgeview campus, and organize and facilitate various social activities and fund-raising events. These events include a spring fling, a golf tournament, garden work parties, bingo & movie nights for residents, and more. They publish a bi-annual newsletter, The View, circulated to 3500 alumni and community members. The Alumni Association is also responsible for planning, constructing and maintaining the beautiful serenity garden on our campus.
All proceeds raised during events hosted by the Alumni Association go to the Ridgeview Alumni Charitable Corporation (501c3). The Ridgeview Charitable Corporation provides funding to assist current patients and their financial burdens when accessing treatment. Current patients can apply for scholarships through the charitable fund in order to receive the treatment that they need.
